If you’re completely new to detoxification (perhaps you stumbled onto this website by chance), and oblivious to who Dr. Robert Morse, N.D. is, then please read on as this page will get you up to speed swiftly. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
The Beginning of a New Journey
In late March of 2011, Dr. Morse (a renowned naturopathic healer) and his staff launched a YouTube channel through which he could openly share his experiences and teachings of the science and art of detoxification, and he has continued to record educational videos (now totaling several hundred hours of footage) ever since. The videos are available to everyone free of charge. His expansive knowledge and experience is founded upon more than 45 years of working with many thousands of people from all over the world with tremendous success.
His videos, literature, and detoxification seminars, have spawned a growing number of healers, or ‘detoxification specialists’, as well as a vast following of curious but also suffering people seeking help and guidance in order to find their remedy.

The Art and Science of Detoxification
Firstly, let’s begin with the definitions of:
- detoxification,
- regeneration, and
- autointoxication.
Webster’s Dictionary defines ‘detoxification’ as:
1.)
a : to remove a harmful substance (as a poison or toxin) or the effect of such from.
b : to render (a harmful substance) harmless.
2.)
: to free (as a drug user or an alcoholic) from an intoxicating or an addictive substance in the body or from dependence on or addiction to such a substance.
The tendency is for people to associate detoxification with the latter (#2).
The Detox Miracle Sourcebook (Dr. Morse’s book) defines ‘detoxification’ as:
“The process of cleansing and alkalizing the body. The removing of obstructions (e.g., acids, mucus, parasites, chemicals, minerals, metals, thoughts and emotions) that block energy and the proper function of cells and the individual. A necessary requirement in returning to vibrant health.”
The Detox Miracle Sourcebook (Dr. Morse’s book) defines ‘regeneration’ as:
“Rebuilding and strengthening the body. Requires an alkaline medium with electrically “alive” nutrients.”
Farlex’s Free (medical) Dictionary defines ‘autointoxication’ as:
“Self-poisoning resulting from the absorption of waste products of metabolism, decomposed intestinal matter, or other toxins produced within the body.”
As you will come to understand, the human body is perpetually exposed to an untold number of toxic chemicals and synthetic elements in today’s modern societies. These substances, if not eliminated from the body, settle in the tissues and contribute to the systemic degeneration of one’s health through the course of time. Compounding this problem is the unhealthy and damaging dietary habits and traditions humans have developed and become accustomed to, resulting in systemic over-acidity within the body and eventually impeding the body’s innate ability to detoxify itself (from damage caused to its eliminative organs). The resulting Toxicity and acidosis are the two root causes of the vast unprecedented decline of our health. For this reason, what we eat, drink and put on our skin plays a major role in relationship to our well-being.
True detoxification, as taught and practiced by Dr. Morse, is a two-fold course of action with the aim of minimizing or (preferably) completely eradicating illness through restoration of health, dynamic energy and vitality:
- The alkalizing, energizing and detoxifying phase.
- The regeneration and rebuilding phase.
Throughout this process, you are bound to shift back and forth between the above two phases also to maintain balance.
To initiate the process, we must first recognize what type of diet will be the most conducive. Through extensive research, observation, common sense and several years of clinical work, Dr. Morse came to realize and witness that a diet of fresh, raw fruits and leafy green vegetables are the number one key to a high level of healing and regeneration. Coupling this type of raw food diet with tissue-specific cellular botanicals (organic or wildcrafted herbs) in the earlier years of his practice, Dr. Morse was able to kick things up a whole other notch thus achieving tremendous success as a result.
As you peruse his material and listen to his videos, you will realize that the combination of eight VERY important factors separates him from, presumably, every other great practitioner and healer of the past and present:
- His unshakeable focus on the body’s great lymphatic system.
- Uncovering and understanding the connection between the kidneys and the lymphatic system.
- Decoupling from the concept of “diseases” and instead identifying, understanding, and addressing the root cause of health problems versus treating symptoms.
- Utilizing the science and practice of iridology to identify and pinpoint significant weaknesses (Dr. Morse and Dr. Bernard Jensen (a pioneer of American iridology; now deceased) were close personal friends).
- Having studied the methods and philosophies of many great physicians and healers of the past (notably Prof. Arnold Ehret).
- Incorporating spirituality into his practice.
- Consistently recognizing the importance of keeping things SIMPLE versus getting caught and trapped in theories and hyper-intellectualism.
- Recognizing that every individual is at their own unique level and degree of health, awareness and consciousness.
Merging the above with his background as a biochemist has afforded him a very unique position as a naturopathic healer. He has been able to break down complex matters concerning health into digestible chunks, offering a perspective on health and vitality that makes things finally fall into place, for many people, on a comprehensive level.
In the healing arts, there is a broad diversity of complementary therapies, techniques. and focus points that can be incorporated some of which, when applicatory, can prove greatly enhancing and beneficial to one’s detoxification protocols. This includes:
- Acupuncture
- Aromatherapy (essential oils)
- Biomagnetic therapy
- Breathing exercises
- Bowen therapy
- Chiropractic
- Chromotherapy (color)
- Colon hydrotherapy (colonics)
- Craniosacral therapy (CST)
- Ear candling
- Earthing
- Enemas
- Faster Emotionally Focused Transformations (FasterEFT)
- Flower essence therapy
- Hot and cold therapy
- Homeopathic medicine
- Juicing (homemade, fresh-pressed fruit or vegetable juices)
- Massage therapy
- Meditation
- Music therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Reflexology
- Regular yoga and bikram yoga
- Skin brushing
- Steam saunas
- Vibrational and energy (reiki) healing
- Water fasting
But keep in mind, most of the practices listed above are complementary to holistic detoxification programs and should not be sought out as isolated resolutions to one’s health conditions.
Additionally, of course, adequate sunlight (to the degree that you can tolerate it), rest, fresh air, deep breathing, positive and meaningful relationships, stress reduction techniques along with physical movement (depending on your state of health) are all imperative yet overlooked components of a full-spectrum health model.
True detoxification, as a science, is based upon the laws and understanding of physics, chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy & physiology, and, within our core approach, also botanical science.
As an art, it is a practice of which the practitioner must become well-versed in, for it is seldom a linear path. Rather, it is a journey of learning, self-exploration, letting go of fear and concealed emotions, overcoming old and fruitless habits, venturing through phases of significant eliminations (also referred to as ‘healing crises’), best adapting one’s health regimen and incorporated therapeutics to accommodate for the unique health challenges one is facing, and so forth. It is an art because one must learn how to detoxify with balance.
Knowing when to proceed more aggressively and knowing when to slow down and take a temporary break. For many, it can be a bumpy ride. But no ride is more worthwhile than this one; and even if you quit the ride you are more than likely to return sooner or later. To paraphrase Dr. Morse: “It always comes back to the ‘golden key’ of detoxification.” Those that walk the walk and observe will realize this to be true.
In a Nutshell
What you eat, drink, breathe, put on your skin, and how you think (positive/negative thoughts) and feel (suppressed/repressed emotions; stress, etc.) all has an impact on your health.
It is not within the scope of this introduction to cover the various food groups, and how each group affects the human body on a physiological level, but suffice it to say, in his healing practice, Dr. Morse emphasizes:
Raw Fruit as the number one most important food source for detoxification and regeneration, herbal botanicals to vastly amplify the level of healing achievable, and vegetables (preferably leafy greens and sprouts).
Supportive tools may include raw Bovine Glandulars to help rebuild and strengthen chronically weakened or degenerative organs and endocrine glands, flower essences, and essential oils.
In the general case of emergency, Dr. Morse may advise supplementary isolates (e.g. vitamin B6 or magnesium) or pharmaceutical medications (e.g. painkillers, post-stroke medications, expectorants, diuretics, etc.).
All persons are encouraged to limit or [preferably] completely omit intake of:
- All dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, milk chocolate, sour creme, etc.) without exception.
- Meat, poultry and fish (an exception being raw bovine glandulars as necessary on a per case basis).
- Grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, eggs and starchy foods (rice, pasta, potatoes, rye, etc.).
- Fermented foods (kefir, kombucha, kimchi, miso, sauerkraut, soy sauce, tempeh, etc.).
Depending on the circumstances of each individual case, the health programs will leave room for dietary transitioning allowing the person to progress toward a higher level of detoxification at their own pace. However, IMMEDIATE abstaining from consumption of DAIRY products is encouraged.
Dr. Morse is not particularly interested in what people choose to eat once they’ve achieved a level of health that they’re satisfied with. But he will make sure to inform you of what it takes to detoxify properly and will educate you on why you lost (or never had) a robust level of health to begin with. It is then completely up to the individual to decide how they wish to proceed with their diet afterward.
